About GKB

Global Kyokushin Budokai (GKB) is an international martial arts community founded by Hanshi István Adámy, 9th dan karate master. Our aim is to preserve Mas Oyama's legacy and to deepen and pass on the knowledge of Kyokushin, in the unity of physical, mental and spiritual development.

Our community is built on mutual respect, kindness and support for one another. We offer cooperation that is free of internal intrigue and power struggles: peaceful, yet encouraging growth, in which everyone can contribute and learn from others.

We offer international professional contacts, joint training, seminars and tournaments. Our growing, multilingual digital knowledge base brings together the knowledge of karate, throws, groundwork and self-defence in books and instructional videos.

There are three ways to connect with us:

• As a full member, taking an active part in GKB's community and its professional work.
• As a partner member, keeping your own organisation's independence and your current memberships in full.
• As an interested learner, choosing access to the knowledge base only, without joining an organisation.

Let us learn from one another, grow together and pass on the values of Kyokushin to the next generations.
